Splash Days Weekend

August 30 - September 2, 2013. Labor Day weekend annual clothing-optional frolic in water & sunshine, at the rocky shores of Hippie Hollow Park on Lake Travis. Many bars host gala events during weekends preceding Splash, with celebrated DJs on hand to get people into the mood.

Skinny Dipping at Hippie Hollow:
Pin 5Hippie Hollow Park (7000 Comanche Trail)

On 109 peaceful acres, Hippie Hollow is a clothing optional park on Lake Travis, with the natural beauty of the Texas hill country all around. It feels like a long way from Austin, but it's only a 20 minute drive off Interstate 35. Visitors from all over the world come for the naturalist sunbathing and swimming. The gay event Splash takes place here each first week of May, and every Labor Day Weekend (see events). A day permit is $10 per person plus $2 per vehicle. For a pedestrian or bicyclist it's $5 total.
