March 20-23, 2013, 8pm, at Cork Opera. Written by Brian Friel and directed by Adrian Dunbar, Translations is set in a hedge school in Ballybeg, Ireland in 1833. The British Army have been tasked with translating place names in the area from ancient Irish Gaelic to the King’s English. The clash of cultures produces a series of misunderstandings and misinterpretations.

March 24, 2013, 8pm at Cork Opera. Gifted, young cast of dancers, musicians and 3 Irish tenors, a 2-hour, richly costumed extravaganza marrying contemporary and ancient with a wealth of Irish talent. Using modern art, dance and music forms, the show heralds a new era in Irish entertainment -- one of the most popular and busiest Irish step dance shows in the world.

March 25, 2013, 8pm at Cork Opera. Catch Jack as he hits the road for his new tour. After a six-year absence, he’s back, agonizing over the slightest of annoyances and misdemeanours. Why is he touring again? “I want to spend less time with my family” says Jack.

March 29-30, 2013, 8pm, at Cork Opera. Pat Shortt’s new one-man comedy show charts the life of Dixie Walsh, a solo lounge musician. The show is a tribute night to Dixie where all his peers and friends (the audience) come to celebrate his career. Dixie takes centre stage to tell his life story and share his unique style of music in “I Am The Band”.

March 30, 2013, 2pm, at Cork Opera. Following Cork Rocks events at the Everyman Theatre and Cork Opera House, we present our All Agers event where young rockers of Cork City get the opportunity to work with some of the finest technicians, and play on one of the finest stages in Cork. We aim to showcase the cream of the crop and let the bands really rock it up to their peers....

March 31, 2013, 8pm, at Cork Opera. The Irish Collection show will feature all their hit records in their unique Country Rock sound, as well as some of their more current tracks. It’s a not to be missed, with Smokie proving once again just why they deserve the name of being one of the greatest live bands in the music business today. Still making the world rock!

April 1, 2013, 8pm, at Cork Opera. The Carpenters recorded some of the greatest love songs in pop music history. Toni Lee (Stars in Their Eyes) in concert as Karen Carpenter singing some The Carpenters greatest songs, including “Yesterday Once More”, “Superstar”, “We’ve Only Just Begun”, “Please Mr. Postman” and more.

April 4, 8pm, at Cork Opera. Directed by Ellen Kent, featuring the full Chisinau National Philharmonic orchestra and chorus, this most popular of operas with its tender, moving arias “Vissi d’arte” and “E Lucevan le Stelle.” A heady mix of true love, torture and treachery, two of the best roles for tenor and soprano, plus a truly blood curdling villain.

April 5-6, 2013, at Cork Opera. Traditionally staged new production set in Seville, like a Goya painting, with fountains, flowers and orange trees. An evening of passion and romance, starring international mezzo soprano Nadia Stoianova, (as Carmen won rapturous reviews), and featuring the full Chisinau National Philharmonic orchestra and chorus, plus a donkey.

April 6, 2013, 8:30pm, Cork Opera. An Intimate night with Blood Brothers star Danny Taylor" - a journey through Danny's music career, both on and off stage. Blood Brothers is one of the longest running touring shows in musical theatre history and Danny, who has really made his mark over many years of touring, will tell his story at this very up close and personal event.

April 7, 8pm at Cork Opera. After the sell-out success of his “Sometimes Even The Devil Tells The Truth” tour, Reginald D Hunter returns to the stage with a brand new stand-up show. “This is comedy of a rare scope.” Times “Comic timing is sharp enough to burst balloons” Independent.

April 11, 2013, at Cork Opera. The story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. And what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

Aprl 12, 2013, 9pm at Cork Opera. The Hard Ground sound can best be described as folk-rock with strong undercurrents of blues. They are releasing their debut studio album, Broken Conversations.

April 14, 2013, 6:30pm, at Cork Opera. The rescheduled date in Cork will now take place at the Half Moon Theatre (behind Cork Opera House) on Sunday 14th of April at 6pm. As before, it will be Over 16s and original tickets will be valid
