Bears & Big Guys:

The Dallas Bears is a community and charitable organization with social activities for members, "open to all men who share in our common goal of serving our community, having fun, participating in fellowships and nuturing lasting friendships." See events listings on their website. Their big annual Texas Bear Round-Up takes place around the third week in March with a dance, pool party, bar and baths excursions, marketplace, food, games and more.

The DFW Big Mens Club meets every Thursday for bar night night at the Dallas Eagle (Maple & Inwood) around 8pm. Come on out and have a good time, no matter if you drink alcohol or not (many only drink cokes or water). They have potluck dinners, and "hug" or "no hug" parties.

The Eagle Bears is a social organization for leather bears, you can guess their home bar. They also "invade" other bars around town once a month, and they like to have dinner and catch a movie together. See dates for these and other events on their website.

Bishop Arts District:

Centered on Davis and Bishop Streets just south of the city center, cluster of restaurants, boutiques, and services. This gay-friendly enclave is just 5 minutes from downtown Dallas. You'll find friendly merchants with a small town square atmosphere. Deffinately a unique discovery.
