Providence is a great walking town. Many architectural gems from a century ago have been carefully restored. The historic districts of Benefit Street and Federal Hill remain largely undisturbed.
If you’re here in the summer, Waterfire spectaculars along the Providence River take place a dozen or so times each season. The bonfires are lit shortly after sunset and burn until midnight.
