Carolina Hurricanes:

Raleigh’s only pro sports team is the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes. The one-time Stanley Cup champs play at the 18,000-seat RBC Center and tickets are relatively easy to come by – if not especially cheap.

North Carolina Museum of Art:

The NCMA has gradually established itself as a leading regional art gallery with a strong collection of European and American art. The museum has modest permanent displays from other cultures, as well as one of only two permanent displays of Jewish art in American museums. One of the museum’s treasures is a large collection of works by sculptor Auguste Rodin. The NCMA sits on a 164-acre Museum Park, home to walking trails leading to a dozen pieces of monumental sculpture.
