March 9, 2013. Nearly 500 individuals from across Tampa Bay expected at the Dali Museum for the annual Taste of Pride, to benefit the St Pete Pride Community Grant program. A sellout event in past two years, over 10 restaurants from across Tampa Bay will showcase their dishes as guests enjoy some of the finest art in the world.
March 22-24, 2013, at Flamingo Resort, St Petersburg. Over $500 in cash and prizes, including sponsorship to IML in Chicago on Memorial Day. Saturday 8pm contest, Sunday 11am Victory Brunch.
In November: Tampa Bay Leather & Fetish Pride, with Tampa Bay Leather Sir & Leatherboy, and International Puppy contests. Free event, workshops, etc.
Annual June events. Past year drew 85,000 participants, with Saturday Street Festival on Central Ave, and Promenade through the Grand Central District. See their website for photos of the 2011 event and upcoming plans for 2013.
November 8-10, 2013 at Flamingo Resort. Going strong on 4th year, celebrating the Leather Fetish Kink in all of us. Contests, vendors, basket raffles, demos, pool party, private dungeons, lunch, parties.
St Petersburg Pier (800 Second Avenue NE)A delightful experience of shopping, dining and live music entertainment, along with breathtaking vistas of the bay and the gorgeous sunsets from a spacious deck. Known for a distinctive five-story inverted pyramid shape overlooking Tampa Bay, it has an aquarium on the second and third floors, and restaurants on floors four and five. At ground floor is a tourist information desk, plus specialty shops and galleries.
Salvador Dali Museum (1000 Third Street South)A comprehensive collection of works by the Spanish surrealist painter. On the campus of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, the Salvador Dali Museum building houses 96 oil paintings, over 100 watercolors and drawings, 1,300 graphics, photographs, sculptures and objects d’art; also an extensive library of archives.
