Marketplace offering everything from fresh oysters to Baklava. Explore the many stalls of fresh produce, exotic spices or handcrafted goods. It's a great place to pick up some unique gifts. Enjoy lunch at one of the many caffe's, bakery's or fast food stalls. and walk around the small island with it's many art galleries and handcraft boutique stoors. The best way to get there is to take one of the water taxi's located at the bottom of thurlow street, Hornby street or Davie street (Yaletown side).

Vancouver's Wreck Beach is a world famous clothing-optional beach, and one of the best places to have sex in the great outdoors. Located at the bottom of steep cliffs surrounding Point Grey, Wreck Beach offers privacy and beautiful scenery. The gay section is to the left (south) beyond the crowd, where the logs litter the broad area of sand. Vendors are there to sell anything from tie-die tee shirts and sandwiches to beer and special brownies.

Gay naturalists should check out the activities of P-Can, the Pacific-Canadian Association of Nudists, a gay and bisexual men's group. Their naked social events include monthly house parties and naked dance parties at a local bar; also trips to a gay B&B, and gay camp sites, bowling nights, plus Wreck Beach gatherings, and more. Without the commonplace gay emphasis on looks and age, they promote an attitude-free convivial and supportive atmosphere for male socializing. Without a focus on the erotic aspects of nudity, they're not afraid or uptight about it either.

Stanley Park is recognized as one of the great parks of the world! A short walk from downtown, Stanley Park is an evergreen oasis of 400 hectares of natural west coast splendor. The park is surrounded by a 9 Km seawall great for walking, cycling or rollerblading. You can rent a bike or blades from one of the bike rental stores at the corner of Georgia and Denman. The South East corner of the park also has a busy gay cruising spot along Lee's trail.

Texada Island in the Strait of Georgia, off Canada’s Pacific coast, is about 100km north of Vancouver. The largest of the BC Gulf Islands at 51.5 km (32 mi.) long and 9.5 km (6 mi.) wide it has two population centers: Van Anda on the east side and Gillies Bay to the west.  To get here in just 30 minutes take one of 10 ferries per day from Powell River's Westview ferry terminal to Blubber Bay. KD Air has four scheduled flights per day to the Gillies Bay Airport from Vancouver South terminal or from Qualicum Beach.

Many beaches can be found here, from rocky coastline to fine sands; also hiking trails, old logging roads, camping areas and lakes to explore. Over 250 species of birds may be seen, there's a 9-hole golf course, and kayak trips from Shingle Beach to Jedediah Island marine park. The island is most accessible with a car. Gasoline/groceries retailers, lodgings, postal services, a pub, and two restaurants provide the basics.

They'll provide the ride from the Blubber Bay ferry terminal, or the CYGB airport if you arrange ahead. As they say, it's a great place for recreation, with "no land predators, wolves, cougar, bears or politicians."
